If you happen to be in Lille, France, there is one neighborhood that you shouldn’t miss: Wazemmes. Just where Rue des Postes meets Rue de Wazemmes, there is a roundabout with a fountain in the middle, which contains this structure that vaguely reminds of a snake. Why oh why I ever left Lille?
Hi all, long time no see! I left you at the beginning of my bike tour from Amsterdam to Paris, almost three monts ago already! No worries, I have safely come back home since then, only the blogging seems to have suffered from it. I’ll maybe go over it in another post. Lille is the capital of Northern France and the country’s fourth biggest town. The main central square, Place de la Republique, is dominated by the Palace of Fine Arts. I never manged to get in there, maybe because it looks like a haunted manor at night.
